I normally don’t bother with chrome plated watches, but the dial is amazing on this piece and the plating is perfect. Royce 33mm with what I can only describe as a parquet dial. Shipping is cost prohibit, but may be nice deal our Australian friends.

You should see what we get quoted to have watches sent down here. Zero consistency. Everywhere from US$25-100. And best we don’t talk about US Priority mail .

tidy watch though

Thanks JwRosenthal, I just won this one with an offer.
I look forward to receiving it. Our postal system here is a shambles at the moment so goodness knows how long it will take to go the 100 or so miles it has to travel.
I will let you know when it arrives.
Cheers
Les

Reveal time for me.

A couple pages back James " The Enabler " Rosenthal posted a watch for sale on the forum and i decided to take the plunge.
I was initially unsure about it given its size, fortunately other members posted their examples in the thread which changed my opinion.

The seller @Paedipod was an absolute gent to deal with & it took only 5 days to get to the UK from Canada.

I can now say i have officially joined the Omega club 👍

Not sure what has happened with the first 2 pictures, the dial is a lovely creamy tone more like picture 3.

That looks outstanding, Ken! And it is indeed sizable on your wrist, way to go!

Technos Skybird. Stainless C-shaped case, faceted crystal, love the day/date at 6. Factory brushing looks to be there, dial looks good although pics are in shadow. Factory sticker on the back- is there a medallion underneath- that’s the mystery!

Mid-1950s 10k gold-filled Tissot automatic in great shape at a reasonable BIN of $225 - first to make an offer of $200 likely gets it.

Stepped bezel, applied logo, clean dial, in-house full-rotor automatic, signed crown (though likely not original), and hints of a mid-mod Polerouter in the design!

Sinn 103B acrylic- I own this exact watch (although mine had English date wheel as opposed to German- as they should have). Full kit, shows wear but nicely even on the bezel. I haven’t seen a sub $1.5k 103 in a while, let alone full kit on bracelet- this is a nice value considering they sell for well over $2k now. Don’t know the seller but seems to have tons of feedback.

Lovely looking Eterna @JwRosenthal. The dial reminds me of the Bulova Seabee
Yup! One of my favorite watches- very similar. I also have my waffle Seamaster which is why I keep telling myself I don’t need that one....keep saying it, I don’t need that one, I don’t need that one....🙁

edit- thank god it’s gone!

I love when cool ladies watches pop up as I am always looking for gift ideas for my lady and luckily I infected her with the watch bug.
This is a very pretty Omega Sapphette (sp?) in gold filled case with integrated mesh bracelet. This was one of the first vintage Omegas I bought my lady (in white gold) and she adores it. It is tiny- and I mean tiny- you can barely read the time without squinting. But it’s about the bracelet and sleek elegance with this- you don’t really need to read time when they dim the house lights at intermission anyway.

Seller is well known here, price is fair but has make offer- this would make a great gift for a lady (wife, girlfriend, daughter) or for yourself if you are a lady or non-risk adverse fashionable man.

Hummer time!
Accutron 218 up/down date in stainless case with tuning fork second hand. Seller says recently serviced (mmhmm- that’s what they all say), but keeping time is a good sign. Dial isn’t perfect but nice looking. This is a fun piece of 60’s American ingenuity.
