Looks like a screen cap from a film. When in Florida many years ago I heard on the news of a deputy trying to lasso a gator. The gator went into a spin and ripped both his arms off.
Ok- back on track- OF bargain diver alert- this time from our beloved @DaveK - a Sicura diver in a super compressor style case (note I said style- this is not an EPSA case). https://omegaforums.net/threads/sicura-diver-with-rotating-inner-bezel-5-66-jewel.128552/ This a fun looking watch for little money- and Dave is tired of working the pole for singles- his g-string is stretching out from all the action.
Picked this Seiko up on a recommendation here. Needs a service as day is a little off but otherwise really nice condition and it came with Seiko branded bracelet. Thanks to all for posting so many nice watches.
Calling @JwRosenthal Nice mid-century modern black-on-gold tuxedo dial Tissot on a self-winding, in-house caliber 28.5R-21, textured hour ring, pearl minute track, and thin dauphine hands. Not quite sure what is going on at the bezel between 10 and 11 but seems good otherwise. The crown looks like it has been replaced; if original it should be a signed hexagonal crown. Reasonably priced BIN at $295, and open to offers. https://www.ebay.com/itm/363318411645Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
I would call this more of an amazing find than a “bargain”, but it could be considered such since they have been fetching $300+ in user grade condition lately. 2 NOS Hamilton 1982 military issue watches- in the boxes, with packaging. I have seen a few of these pop up over the years. I own one that is well loved- they rarely every look this good. Of course, they have been sitting for almost 40 years so assume all the oils are dried up. But a clean and lube and you have 2 brand new military watches. https://www.ebay.com/itm/124625218212Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Now that’s a find! These pictures are surprisingly good but awful at the same time haha. More pictures of the packaging (while cool to see) than the watches. Also, I’m curious why this dial is being hidden
“Fuzz” on the dial from the old packaging? Might take a flier on these and throw in a bid. One nice thing about eBay is the return policy.
I have a feeling it may either go for more if it gets bid up, or won’t make it through the night at the BIN. But these lack all the nasty scars, ashy lume and ugliness that give the street cred to the hipsters- they pay more for ugly- so who knows.
If you just want one, this one is a little on the high side (very high compared to 2 years ago but not bad today- world has gone mad), but lume is excellent and a wet- sand on the crystal should make it look like new. Oh- and for those not familiar- yes, that is the original strap and it’s 16mm on 18mm lugs- they all came like that. They have been basically using the same strap since the A17 which has 16mm lugs. https://www.ebay.com/itm/174676963579Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
And we have another Benrus D-day watch, this one not crazy priced. Seller seems a bit confused as the listing states it’s a Rolex Celinni, so you will either get a decent deal for a Benrus field, or a friggin steal on a Celinni- which you can then flip for all the Benrus’s you want. BIN is good, but also has make offer. https://www.ebay.com/itm/154361348769Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
I have 8%, I like living on the edge. And the Ambien is in, clock is ticking- I’m putting the phone down in 4 minutes.
