Stainless Elgin Shockmaster with waffle dual, red arrow second hand, fabulous lugs and USA made movement- this is the last of the great American post war era for Elgin.
Seller says running and claims it’s 37mm...but we all know that’s lug-to-lug, most likely around 32mm for width. Price isn’t bad but make an offer- $150ish would be a nice deal.
I personally think these Shockmasters are great under the radar watches and fun to collect since there were so many variations and they are cheap.

These are usually pretty ratty, that is was is pretty clean and sharp.

hello everyone.....

I like the Antarctic Nivada Grenchen watch ... this appears to me to be one. I would ask for measurements as this might be a 33 mm w 16 mm lugs.. i cant tell as no strap is present... I cant judge scale... Just to be clear have no relationship with the seller. Here is an affiliate link:

Dead Link/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/itm/Croton-nivada-grenchen-Antarctic-Vintage-Watch/124550969961?hash=item1cffd0fa69:g:Y7gAAOSwGcBgFHWQ&campid=5338755308&toolid=20008

Thanks Bill - as a Nivada fan this is the first Antarctic, late 50s, original blue second hand and matching lume very rare to find. It is 35mm without the crown, and 18mm at the lugs. Importantly, that is the original crown too. I expect this to go to $350.

Chromed case would be a deal breaker for me at this price.
For me as well; but it's less about it being the price vs. the chrome itself; I, too, have sworn off chrome as a way to keep my buying in check. But that's a beautiful dial and hands, and while I don't know the exact movement, based on 17 jewels/Incabloc, it's a decent one. If this had a SS case, I think it would be a reasonable purchase at a higher price. So I think that if you are actually going to wear and enjoy it, as opposed to just going in a drawer, the $200 doesn't hit your budget too hard, and you really like it, then it might be a great buy at $200.

Zodiac Glorious which is indeed- glorious. If you like a bit of wabisabi, this is a golden god! Plenty of even plate wear, dial has incredibly even patina, almost like a perfectly faded and worn pair of jeans.

and the seller looks awfully familiar

Save him some eBay fees and somebody buy this thing direct- @WhatYourWatchSay

I wonder if it could be re-plated and how much that would run.

Hi Everyone....

I also have a love of Longines ( I know no one could guess... ) ... hahahah I know most of you have seen a Longines 30L , and the 30LS (sweep seconds ).... But have you seen a 302? the next revision with index regulation !!!! It might remind some of a 30T2Rg....

This one looks nice.... bargain price is objective.... as usual just to be clear have no relationship with the seller. Here is an affiliate link:

Take advantage of this poorly photographed watch at a nice BIN price ($69 !)and misclassified on eBay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/203247935656

Early 1950s 10k gold-filled bumper automatic, 36mm, and a runner too. Hands are correct and gold fill looks intact all around the case. For clarity, ask the seller for pictures of the lugs and case sides to verify minimal wear along the edges. Great starter watch for those of you who want to get into vintage watches during the golden era.

Dial looks OK under the scratched crystal and flash photo, although I cannot tell what's going on at 2 o'clock:

Ah, the joys of hunting for vintage watches with bad photography!
