You may recall I cited a ‘rush of blood to the head’ to explain my $200 USD impulse buy, which has arrived in London from Brockton, Massachusetts today.
I’m pretty sure I didn’t need another watch but it looks very classy (IMO)
That watch is fabulous- if it said Omega on the dial it would have been 4x as much. Great catch!
And in regards to posting the score multiple times:
A man goes into a confessional and says-
“Father, I am a 75 year old widower, was happily married for 40 years, have 3 wonderful children and 6 grandchildren, and last night I had wild passionate sex with a 25 year old woman.”
The priest says “ how long has it been since your last confession?”
The man says “ I have never been to confession.”
The priest asks “why haven’t you been to confession?”
The man says “oh, I’m Jewish”
The priest asks “ then why are you telling me this?”
The man replies “are you kidding, I’m telling everyone!”
Stumbled upon this lovely Enicar Big Eye on the French eBay. I'd bid if i wasn't on such a tight budget, so posting it here in the hope that a fellow forum member can snap it up..
Although it's not stated so, the seller is willing to send abroad.
Not original handset and crown, and no movement shots, but assuming it'll be a bargain (at €905 at the time of posting). Lovely dial, seemingly unpolished case, and the brilliant Valjoux 23 movement

I know nothing of the brand, but it looks nice. Chromed case would be a deal breaker for me at this price. Regulator is pushed all the way to one side, so plan on getting a service right away.
Yup- too expensive for what it is, but dial is fab. Seller is banking on stated 37mm size being the draw (he claims 37 without crown), but with 18mm lugs this thing would look like a lollipop at 37- I’m guessing the dimension is with crown...but he says it’s not.

Dial looks great, and should it be that size, it would be fab. But maybe pass as you guys advise.
Thanks for your feedbacks.
Ding a stainless watch and it gets a little dent. Do the same to a chrome watch and it flakes or chips and looks like garbage IMO. Am I wrong? For that reason, I don't think a chrome watch is worth the cost of getting it serviced. Perhaps that is a bit extreme, but it one way to keep the size of my collection in check.

I have a few chrome plated divers and they are fun cheap thrills- some with even half way decent movements and great looking dials- but I only buy them if they are flawless and don’t throw real money at them for service.
That said, my WWII Mil watches are chrome plated and you have to scour to the ends of the earth to find ones that aren’t pitted to hell. But for those I will live with it.
