So...just learned a valuable lesson...missed out on a Benrus military, looked to be in fantastic shape, box, tags, the whole thing. Lesson...don't wait to the last 4 seconds of the damn auction to hit 'submit'...because the frikin 'bay then asks you to 'confirm'. Somebody got a sweet deal at $129.50
Thought I was going to swoop in at the last second with $134.56...nope...bummed!
Gav, Is your Deluxe at 215 movement? That price with zero feedback, something definitely seems awry but I suppose I might be jumping to conclusions. If interested, I hope the potential buyer would know to reach out to Adam Hambly or to the Polerouter website you mentioned. But, I suspect the price is designed to keep buyers like us away. I did take a look at the website and happened to notice yours. I thought "Wow, doesn't that look familiar" and indeed was dead on. Yours is a beauty and kudos to you for helping that group. Have you signed up for the new book one member is compiling? You can do so through the PR App they developed. I know it's terribly off-topic for a public forum (I should probably PM you), but I've been on the hunt for a particular Polerouter NS (cross hair with raised indices) would you happen to have any leads? I know it'll come to me when it comes to me but I thought I might as well ask.
Hi,
yes 215 movement see shots below (not a great photos but what I had on my ipad)
I have signed up for the new book. I bought a watch from the author (@Mazoue) last christmas for the wife (photo below) and we met up and discussed watches. He is extremely knowledgeable, generous with helping others and also sells watches as a sideline. He would definitely be the first person I would approach if I were looking for a particular Pole(a)router.
Forgot to mention I took a punt when buying mine. It also came out of South America (Caracas) from a seller with little feedback.
@pIoNeErOfThEnILe, that Mondia has a couple of issues.
Check the 1 & 7 markers, also not working as it should.
Is this worth $300 in its present state ? how much more to put it right ?
I ask purely for education as i am still learning & still need a little guidance.
Forgot to mention I took a punt when buying mine. It also came out of South America (Caracas) from a seller with little feedback. I paid via PayPal so had some cover.
Took an age to arrive and I was convinced I had been scammed until the day it arrived. Was delighted when I finally had it in hand so sometimes it's "who dares, wins"
Omega 166.122 I believe- aka the Stingray/Cobra. This is a rather rare early 70’s watch with an interesting design history- a few threads here on them. This one looks excellent, the brushing is intact, lume is bright yellow, bezel is in great shape crystal and crown are signed- looks like it’s all there.
I think the price is fair compared to the very few I have seen listed but I don’t know the market on these.
I doesn’t get more 70’s than this- and in full Omega glory!
It’s a big sucker at 43mm (from what I can find) and looks fairly thick. If this were 40mm, I probably would have bought it.

Spotted this one and despite being probably plated I love the condition of the dial! And I think the price is quite fair.
