Cant help feeling this is a franken. Photos aren't very clear but looks the same dial as I have in my genuine 18k deluxe

Very clean Deluxe Gav!

Just far from NOS, which in my book is absolutely unworn, which this clearly isn't.
Careful or sellers will resort to "minty" for their pretty good watches, and nobody wants that.

Hey @Gav1967

Agree , i know it not a Deluxe.... but the dial alone might be worth it to someone restoring one.... I remember one time coming across a Omega Ultima dial in a steel case Seamaster ..... was worth the price to get the dial to finish a restoration on another project...

Just something you dont see everyday...

Best regards
Bill

Indeed and a good thought.
My deluxe is ref 10357-11 and is the only one I have seen. It is used as the gallery reference on universalgenevepolerouter.com as they have not seen another example either

They've been doing that for years already. 🙄

Glad that’s is in your hands Gav- I can only imagine someone walking into a WE BUY GOLD place and watching them rip that thing apart and melt it down 😲

Does it bother anyone else that these three slots aren't filled? It's a balance thing...makes my teeth itch!
Two words from 2020. Social distance
That must be the explanation

Hi everyone.....

I always like manual wind chronometre in a gold case... This one checks all the boxes 18k gold screwback case... manual wind and its a High Freq movement and fully marked adj 5 pos and temp.... I have been watching it for months. ..and another one popped up for i think 300$ more... maybe watch it and make the seller an offer...

Cheap doesn’t define a bargain or value as we all know. A 5-digit sub for $2k is a bargain....and I won’t be sharing that one here....because I probably will break my fingers trying to hit the buy it now button.

So...just learned a valuable lesson...missed out on a Benrus military, looked to be in fantastic shape, box, tags, the whole thing. Lesson...don't wait to the last 4 seconds of the damn auction to hit 'submit'...because the frikin 'bay then asks you to 'confirm'. Somebody got a sweet deal at $129.50

Thought I was going to swoop in at the last second with $134.56...nope...bummed!

My preferred sniping service is ezsniper.com. They've been 100% reliable for me since I signed up in September 2004.

Stainless Eternamatic with what appears to be an original black dial in- well- if visible through that crystal- possibly very good shape. This may be a diamond in the rough- or just rough. Not sure if the crown should have the ball bearings or not at this period- but it fits the tuck well so may be correct. Could be a very nice watch for 1/8 the price of a comparable black dialed Omega of the same period- and has make offer.

I use esnipe- never missed a bid.
You pay a small fee for the service but it pays itself off in the first win...beating poor guys who hit the button with 4 seconds left and asked to confirm. 😗
There are a few good services, and you just set your limit and walk away. Unlike the eBay proxy it doesn’t show your hand so the likelihood of emotional bidding is taken out of the equation.
The worst thing though is watching until the end and knowing you set a high snipe and it hits at 6 second left, then someone else snipes, and another, then yours hits again, and someone else’s snipe hits- all this in less that 6 seconds!! And you can’t bid again and are watching it slip away!
