I'm supposed to be focusing on an electrical distribution design and one-line drawings for an 8MegaWatt deployment....but...'oh, look, shiny thing! Me want!'

This thread has made the 'what to get you for Christmas' question quite easy for my wife. Another/bigger watch box!

It seems I'll be getting her a watch box too...her collection is also expanding due to this thread. I find it an easy way to solve for 'there's another delivery on the porch...did you buy ANOTHER watch!?!?'... 'Yes honey, this one is for you!'

Win/Win

Thanks guys!
Yup- giving watches can be just as fun as getting them.
I bought a 20 box for my lady last year- we have already busted that.
Two more incoming for the holidays- she gave her approval on them without knowing I was going to buy them- just casually showing them asking “ do you like this style?”
Need to find a good strap/bracelet for this one (she likes vintage bracelets- as do I).

This one came with factory NSA- nice! Will have the hands relumed to match the dial- she, like me doesn’t care much for wabi-sabi.

That would be fun, my wife is very practical when it comes to watches. I have bought a couple for my daughters, but I am not sure they are so excited about it (ages 11 and 13).

Does it bother anyone else that these three slots aren't filled? It's a balance thing...makes my teeth itch!

I disagree, the box needs 4 more to get a checkerboard pattern. The upper right circled spot needn't be filled, but rather the slot to its left and the one below.

Both very nice '70's vibe! My lady seems to be drawn to mid '60's and earlier, but maybe I'll see if she digs the '70's funk.

You are absolutely correct! In my haste to figure out how to circle things on a screen snip, I seem to have stumbled.

"NO, I said RIGHT CLICK GRANDMA!!"

She was the same originally but I am getting her to embrace the groovy. When she saw my Oceanographer she almost ripped it off my wrist.

And what I love is that she will wear a cocktail watch one day, my Tudor the next day, followed by a 30’s ladies watch, then the chunkster Marathon Navigator, then Zodiac Shewolf the next....I think men get stuck in a much narrower window of style than women. I am trying to follow her lead and have far more fun with watches and take them less seriously.

Uh-oh....

I see some micro-scratching on the brushed case and very little on the back- I’m not seeing signs of a re-brush/polish unless it was very well done. Are you suggesting this was re-done or just not NOS?

Just far from NOS, which in my book is absolutely unworn, which this clearly isn't.

Ladies watches are a bargain hunter's dream.
Tell me about it! We have a few women here who know this well.

This is one that’s been in my watch list for a while- if I had the men’s version (which would be 10x the price), I would have grabbed this to do a his/hers pair.
I know nothing about values on these or the quirks of the diver DS’s- just that this thing is adorable! Would make a great Xmas gift or gift for oneself if a woman.

A new watch this time(well 2 weeks old) but shouldn't need any introduction.

My joint favourite dial colour aswell. Love the ivory.

Great saving off the £199 retail price. Was so close to buying it but I have enough field watches so decided to share it here instead.

Hi everyone...

I know its not a "DELUXE" as its a gold cap Polerouter.... but I think the dial is super uncommon... and worth taking a look at...

Cant help feeling this is a franken. Photos aren't very clear but looks the same dial as I have in my genuine 18k deluxe
