On quick research, it may qualify as an exempt antique, but even that is a little unclear when it comes to selling/purchasing/shipping across state borders within the US. Add to that the wife's views on ivory, it's a hard pass for me.
I have a carved Meerschaum cheroot holder that closely resembles Ivory. Meerschaum being a mineral it may not be suited to a watch dial unless the surface was carefully sealed to avoid abrasive dust getting into the works. More likely Ivory or perhaps a very good ceramic or celluloid substitute.

If you like vanilla, no sprinkles or decadent sauces, just plain ‘ole vanilla- have I got a watch for you!

Very nice Andre Bouchard made by Paul Peugeot (big mass maker the likes of Wakmann or NIvada whereupon other companies can put their names). All stainless with classic shape that is absolutely conventional, lovely dial with applied numerals and just enough sunburst to be interesting but not enough to be exciting, nice lume on the hands and dial that can be seen but not flashy and won’t be noticed by others, A Schild movement which is very good but not exceptional. Size is 33mm which is not big, but not small- truly middle of the road.
This watch a guaranteed to be non-offensive in any way and incredibly polite....still more fun that both of my silver Seamasters.

Resembles my rather grody Paul Peugeot.
Mine has a licensed copy of a Seiko movement.

I almost bought this one, but the scraping around the center post (sloppy watchmaker) is what kept me from pulling the trigger.
Le Cheminant stainless alarm watch, seller says fully functional. You never see alarm watches this cheap, let alone all stainless. This won’t last long.

Stainless Croton Aquamatic with turtle lugs!! Today is the day of the turtle-(all we need is a Certina DS to round out the turtle theme). This is a nice watch at 33mm- sector dial with outer waffle ring- the speckling on this dial is what kept me from jumping on it, but it’s even and had a nice patina for those who like it. Seller says serviced which I find hard to believe for the price- but whatever, if it keeps time it keeps time.

All on the high end of what they should be worth but we never see Everyman watches in this condition- the dial on that first one is awesome!

That one is nice! Don't know if I need another 33mm watch though.... Not sure I can resist it.

I really like the first one a lot! But it looks like it’s got a bit of radium burn around the center of the dial.

No doubt- I bet all of them have a touch if you look closely- those hands haven’t moved in 60 years

I am pretty sure those are shadows. I have a nearly identical watch and it is tritium. I think I even see Ts by the Swiss.

Interesting!! I looked through the pics trying to find the T but the crystal looks like it obscured them. Thank you for sharing this with me

Mine has the same original stretch band too, very uncomfortable in my opinion. Especially if you have chimpanzee arms like me (pulls the fur).

I think you can see the T in the photo (but could be the top of an R)

That was the only trace of a letter I could see as well... but now having looked at the listing again, see that I didn’t look close enough the first time. I did just see this.

Chrome plated Buler Seaflower. If a 1603, matte dialed sub and Helbros diver had a three way- this would be the love child. Plating is a little rough on the side and back, crown needs replacement- but it’s actually not that bad (very wearable). Dial, hands. and engine turned bezel are awesome and should clean up beautifully- and it has a red date wheel (most likely slow-set, be forewarned). I would be tempted to see if this would transplant into another stainless case...would be a neat project.

Realized my credit card was almost ready to expire so I figured I might as well empty that account. I put in very low ball offers on a few things including this Croton and got a pretty good counter offer so I took it.
I'd been reading the Nivada Grenchen threads recently and they peaked my interest in this brand.
Not that I need another small watch but if it is recently serviced and in good working condition that is a step up from most of my collection.
Actually practically any vintage self winder in good recently serviced condition is worth more than I paid for this old girl.

Not a great fan of Patina, but this has a very evenly speckled appearance that actually adds to the look of the dial. Gives it character.
I hope it runs as nicely as some of this brand apparently do.

PS
Though the entry says the watch sold for $49 I actually got it for $41, with the 3.99 shipping charge of course plus $4 + sales tax which brought the full all in price up to $49.33.
