Great looking bargain diver. Dial and hands look amazing.
Chrome case is a bit tired, but the seller accepts offers.

Saw that one- not a bad watch but would be a better deal under $150. If Dinky gets their hands on it with that “ghost” bezel they’ll sell if for $2k

I have officially decided that Base Metal Bezels need to be NOS in order for me to pull the trigger.

I’ve purchased from these guys several times- they are good people. I had an issue with a 40’s chrono I bought from them and they made good on it. I have them in my saved sellers- they have great stuff.
Not running...anyone know how readily available parts are for this movement? I'm so tempted, just for the sake of saving it from the melting pot, but not sure about sinking another $300+ in to it is a wise choice.

My wife wouldn't go for this, but this beauty is being sold for pretty close to the scrap value. Somebody, please save it from the melting pot. It is so cool.

I have no idea about parts. If you are serious, I would ask @Canuck.

The listing says it is an 18/0 movement. A ebay search on "elgin 18/0 movement" turns up piles of results, so I think you could find a donor movement for under $20. I think that a lot of these ladies watches find the melting pot.

Cheap diver alert! I usually shy always from Timex as they are a plated one jeweled wonder, but this is an attractive 38mm diver for $55/obo. Seller says running 3/min fast per day (it’s a timex- who cares), and crystal is cracked ($8 DIver tite would probably do it). Cheap thrills.

I like the looks of that old Timex. If they sold the same model new these days at a reasonable price ( less than an Vostock Amphibia)I'd probably buy one.
I figure that is more of a swimmers watch at best than a divers watch.

Total gamble- pics suck and description is useless. Guy is a picker so just moving product- he won’t know anything about the watch- and clearly nothing about operating a camera.

Hmm...that adds a complication...
It does indeed. Not for sale outside the USA in that case as their Customs people will impound it if they found out, and about 120 international signatories to the CIRES (I think I have that right) agreement will trash it if it made it outside USA border.

On quick research, it may qualify as an exempt antique, but even that is a little unclear when it comes to selling/purchasing/shipping across state borders within the US. Add to that the wife's views on ivory, it's a hard pass for me.
I got one like this for my lady (although it was an Ernst Borel Kalediscope) and she loves it.
Yeah years ago I got a Credos automatic in a NY flea for $10! It is incredibly accurate!

When i search sellers items this watch does not appear.
What I've seen is that when I click on "Show other items" and get the seller's items for sale, eBay always resets the search to "default location". In this case, the seller has marked some of their items as ship to US only, and some as shipping globally, and given your location you're only seeing the ones marked as available globally. Who knows if this is intentional, but I think it's unlikely to be a sign of a scam. Maybe reach out to the seller to ask if they'll ship to you?
