I have had that Wittnauer in my list for a while James, it has been re-listed a couple of times due to no bidders.
The dial condition is ok but i don't like the case for some reason and that is what has stopped me making an offer/ bidding.
Hopefully someone here nabs it & i get to see if i am still at the " fear & loathing " stage or can begin to trust my own judgement more.

10krgp Elgin tank with scalloped case. Dial has some spotting but shows well in the wrist shot. This is on the smaller side at 23mm for a tank style but smaller wrists can pull this off. It’s a bargain considering the seller cleaned and oiled it and shows a pic of it apart- so I tend to believe him.

Same here! Had it in and out of my cart. I am just holding out on a cleaner example but there is no denying she is a beauty albeit some flaws 😉
It does have some dial patina issues. If that is a turn off for you, move on. Just be patient for the right watch. To me thee difference between $75 and $125 is insignificant if you are going to keep it for a long time.
I would also think about how this watch would look on a different strap. The one it is on is all wrong. Get a strap that matches the character of the watch, anything but that faux leather perforated nylon inlaid piece of trash it has on it now.
My wife wouldn't go for this, but this beauty is being sold for pretty close to the scrap value. Somebody, please save it from the melting pot. It is so cool.

I’ve purchased from these guys several times- they are good people. I had an issue with a 40’s chrono I bought from them and they made good on it. I have them in my saved sellers- they have great stuff.
