In Bulgaria worried me at first but looking at his history, he has been selling NOS Accutrons for a while and has good feedback. It does beg the question- what is the story here. Someone should ask where he got such a huge stash of these things. Would be intersting to know.

And on that note- I find the distribution of watches around the globe just as interesting as the history of the watches themselves- you could argue that the distribution and market demand within different parts of the globe drove design.
We get balkish when we see vintage Rolex’s and Omegas coming out of the middle-east (must be fake or fraudulent listings), but we forget that in the 60’s and early 70’s, there was massive wealth there and a taste for western style that dried up in the 80’s when there was a polar cultural shift (to put it mildly- watch the movie The Kite Runner).
Same with the oversized 60’s Seamaster’s we see coming out of Japan- those were specifically for the Japanese market due to demand for that style there.
Wyler (one of my favorite brands that nobody has heard of), had a massive presence in Italy as Wyler-Vetta.
Hong Kong was also a hub of luxury goods trading during the 50’s-90’s and those goods spread throughout Asia, so high end watches coming out of some place like Cambodia or Vietnam wouldn’t be surprising.
And let’s not forget Cuba- prior to 1959, Havana was like Las Vegas and luxury watches were available en-mass in every hotel lobby gift shop.
I’m curious about what Bulova’s distribution to Eastern Europe was like during the late 60’s/early 70’s.

Sharing a few pics after of the incoming. I put it on a chunky suede strap I had which works well, but I’m still pondering what its perfect strap might be.

It’s fun sized (read small) but fits really well on my 6.5 wrist. The dial is the real star here and it plays with the light beautifully. I was also very pleasantly surprised by how clean the case is.

Happy to have found another watch I didn’t know I needed in my life just 5 days ago.

Yeah he has some very very nice Accutrons up for grabs. I was going to post them but there is so many. Take your pick lol!

Anyone interested he is firm in his prices and I would say for the condition it seems fair.

Got this mido from this thread. Serviced and ready to go. Too bad there’re scratches on the dial but looks much better now. Before and after.

Nice Mido!! There is a small cult following of these by some very prominent members here...although like us in the Wyler club- we don’t talk about it.

If you missed the last Benrus D-Day reissue, here is another. Needs a little TLC with a crystal wet-sanding, but should clean up nicely. If you aren’t familiar with these- read back a few pages. Price is not horrible, but make offer under $200 would be better.

Got another Mido. Stainless case, two-tone dial, sub-second, this is a nice looking watch. Dial isn’t perfect but looks original and pretty good as far as these go. Size is an unknown, could be 29mm or 33mm- I have gotten all in between, I’m guessing this one is around 32mm judging by lug to case size- but it’s a gamble. Who feels lucky?

That is very linen-y. Almost like a burlap. Smallish at 31mm, but a nice looking watch.
