Nice looking Eterna in what appears to be white gold filled (looks white to me and not yellow in the not-so-great pics- but could be wrong). The dial is the star here with outer rail track, yellow gold furniture and hands against the grey two-tone sector dial (I love gold dial hardware with stainless/white gold cases). Slap this thing on a burgundy croc or chestnut suede and it’s a showpiece.
Seller says 35mm which seems optimist for the period so perhaps 33mm + crown, but an actual 35mm would be a wonderful surprise. Has make offer- let’s see if someone here can steal this thing.

40’s Helbros chrono with Venus 175. The pics suck, but this looks great, case appears to be all stainless (which is a rarity for this era), dial has a very even patina and love the red second hand. Seller says 35.5 which is right for the period and well sized for these. If it’s all functional as the seller says- then it’s a good price for a V175 watch these days from a known brand.

edit- seller says “keeps accurate time” but doesn’t mention the chrono functioning which is always the rub on these. I would either ask or be prepared to possibly return it if it’s not functional. These always need a service anyway, but broken parts in the chrono can be costly.

Mido Multifort Royal Marine. This looks to be the real deal, I have this exact watch but mine lacks the “R” and “M” flanking the sub-dials. Hands need a relume, but the dial is great. Hand lume should be a pinkish orangey yellow (and not match the dial)- if you get this I’ll send you pics of mine so you can have the color matched properly). Crown needs replacement with the correct bowler hat style which was common to Mido’s of this era. The crystal is most likely original and has yellowed (most war era watches were made of early celluloid) so that would need to go- an easy off the shelf part from the GS catalog.
This is a rare watch, but it is small at around 30mm and they wear smaller than that with the chunky Taubert case so be forewarned. I have mine in a leather bund style which helps bulk it up and I love the thing.

I've owned two of these (gave one to a friend)- this is a sensational watch. Reissue from 1994 of their Vietnam war watch- I've posted about the PR disaster this watch was, but as a watch itself it is awesome. Seller doesn't say if it running, but it's an eta so easy service if needed. This won't last long as they have caught fire in the last few years.

The story behind that Vietnam Era Benrus being re-issued for a D-Day commemoration makes about as much sense as the kerfuffle with the "WW2" life barter kits containing a Milus Snowstar that was obviously from the late 1960s, and then it being re-issued by the modern Milus company as a watch from WW2 🙄

Once upon a time I would think this was priced high- but as clean examples of war era watches dry up and Frankens and fakes pop up on the regular, we need to seek out the good ones.

This looks like a good one. Pics suck but from what I can see the chromed case is free of the normal pitting we always see, it still has the original yellowed celluloid crystal (need to change that out- but speaks to originality), coin edge bezel is excellent and it has the correct big crown. It even looks to have an original military strap which should clean up with soap & water.
It’s running slow but that’s fine as it should be serviced anyway and parts are abundant- it’s all about cosmetic condition when buying these. At 30mm they are small by modern standards, but these were worn by pilots during WWII, if they weren’t emasculated wearing these “tiny” watches, why would we be?

For the record, I paid more than this for mine serviced and in flawless shape several years ago.

Totally agree- which is why they were such a failure with the collector crowd. But as a solid watch in the style of the Vietnam era Benrus- but made with better parts- it’s a great watch.

Great looking Mondia with stunning dial color. This appears to be from right after the Zenith merger. Looks like it should clean up beautifully.
Seller has decent feedback but is in Turkey so due diligence and PayPal protection (linked to a CC) from that part of the world.

I get why sellers always mention Mondia in the same breath as Zenith, but they do it in such a way as to make buyers think that they have Zenith movements, which they certainly do not. They are typically all A. Schild.

It’s like Rolex & Tudor- a Tudor is not a Rolex.

Don't know, but that was quick. I think it was a good price.
I had a hard time not buying it. I already have one example from each US Mil issue- and I have to resist watches like that...I already have one....I don’t need another....but it’s so cheap...and I could wear that one on a bracelet....but I don’t need another one....

Hopefully someone here snagged it.
