Dammit!!! Cards on the table because that's the way I play- i will be bidding on this- it's one I don't have in my Wyler collection. I hate the idea of getting into a bidding war with one of my brothers/sisters here.

Went for $563. Anyone here get it?

Not me! I topped out a bit lower than that- that price is shocking!

That is an insane price...I watched it. Bidding seemed suspicious.

Sorry you didn’t get it, James.

I didn’t bid (as I said before) but I’m also surprised by the extent of the bidding.

It's all good guys- there is a never ending stream of this stuff out there- another just like it (or better) will come along. If this volitle watch market has taught us anything, it's that we can make predictions and speculations on value all we want based on facts and data- but there will always be people who will buy based on emotion and escalate a bidding war. Whoever bought that one got a nice watch and I'm glad they got a prize.
For me, I know what these things are "worth" based on research and experience and will patiently wait for the right one to come along.

On that theme- another watch for which I happily paid $700 for a similar example ended yesterday- I put in a low ball bid and got it for $288. Talk about unpredictable markets!

Waffle dialed SS Bulova! This one looks nice, all lume pips are intact, some ashy-ness around the minute track dots but may clean up with gel sticks (these waffle dials catch every bit of crud). Seller says running.

Great looking Mondia with stunning dial color. This appears to be from right after the Zenith merger. Looks like it should clean up beautifully.
Seller has decent feedback but is in Turkey so due diligence and PayPal protection (linked to a CC) from that part of the world.

Interesting Certina Disco Volante- love the faceted crystal and cross-hatched bezel. Dial is damaged along the right side but some may not mind that. Seller says running, sized at 33mm so with that massive bezel it may wear rather small. Seller in Morocco.

High side of bargain here but this may scratch the itch for many of us who will never afford an Autavia-
Stainless Vulcain chrono with pepsi bezel and Valjoux 23 movement. The pics suck and I can't tell what is dust or dial damage- may be fine. Seller says "serviced"- would want to see proof. Lume is a little darker than I normally like but it's not past the point of acceptable (I'm really picky on lume). May be worth reaching out to see if they will accept a slightly lower offer- but not badly priced for what it is- if it is indeed serviced.
