And it's gone. That went quick lol.
Gotta jump on these. I had one earlier that I copied and sent to @Norfolk to show him- I thought I should just buy it and send it to him, but figured he could buy it and cut out the middle-man. It was gone by the time I got done writing the PM and sent it.

I've owned two of these (gave one to a friend)- this is a sensational watch. Reissue from 1994 of their Vietnam war watch- I've posted about the PR disaster this watch was, but as a watch itself it is awesome. Seller doesn't say if it running, but it's an eta so easy service if needed. This won't last long as they have caught fire in the last few years.

There is one that was just posted on Watchexchange for $200. Maybe someone can talk him down if it checks out.

They're nice watches and sat at around $130-150 LNIB forever. I bought 2 that were NOS for under $135. They aren't "vintage" (although 1994 seems like yesterday- it's 26 years ago 😲)- but are very well made with quality parts and are a great daily beater alternative to our vintage pieces. They are 33mm like the originals but on a pull-through or NATO strap- which is appropriate for these, they wear very comfortably on all but the largest of wrists.
As for their recent upward swing in price- stainless case, manual wind ETA, tritium dial in classic mil style by a reputable company....hard pressed to find anything like that now for under $300....Hamilton Khaki mechanical maybe....used- although those are larger. I still wouldn't pay over $200 for them in great shape, but that's just because I got mine so cheaply so it's stuck in my head that they are supposed to be cheap. Just like a Speedy is still supposed to be $1k 🙄.

I hear that! For me I have my vintage military issue spot filled in my collection by two heavy hitters! (In my opinion lol)

Black dialed stainless Hamilton, Illinois movement- this is stunning- dial looks fantastic. Lume is bright yellow and plump, beefy lugged case is sharp and love the stunning round drop lug profile- the high dome crystal on this just tops it off. 32mm so not tiny but not modern sized. Price isn't bad for what it is- also has Make offer.

Now this is unusual- SS 32mm Waltham with Bidynator movment- these were used is some rather high end watches of the time. The dial appears all orginal with an awesome sunrise from 6 pattern, and the eagle is a serious embellishment- but considering the name of the watch is the "Permaforce", I guess it's a patriot thing.
Cheap-cheap, the movement is worth more than the asking.

Too small for me, but that "sunrise from 6" dial is mind-boggling; never seen one before.

Speaking about sunrise from 6 dials, I stumbled upon this one earlier today. Not exactly a bargain but how stunning is that dial?

Does anyone know if there's an "official" name for this style of dial that would allow one to search for it?
