·Actually... if anyone can help, I have a case back that is VERY similar (only the 20 and lion head thing are reversed) and came with a 563 and a fake dial. Should I doubt the gold content?

if the rest is actually the same then, yes, you should doubt the gold content.

The movement seems nice enough, though in need of a service. The dial started falling apart while I took it off the movement, hands are clearly fake. I assumed it was a redial + non-swiss case, but didn't consider it might not even be gold!

No constellation had:
1. A dial like that
2. A cal 563
3. A ref serial like that
Gold constellation cases didn't have perlaging inside the case back.
I hate to think what the medallion might look like.
I seriously doubt that the case is gold. (you can see that the plating is actually wearing off the inner caseback)

I saw inside the caseback and assumed it was a 'locally cased' movement, but I was concentrated on the movement. I figured that 'plating wearing off' was corrosion as it still looks gold/coppery colored in those places?
But I'm pretty convinced this is a 100% fake wrapping a movement. He's gonna be sad 😁

·I appreciate your time! And now looking at the medallion, that IS kinda ugly. I didn't look closely and figured it was just 'worn', but now that I'm looking at it after this thread, I think its worse than I considered 😀
