What do folks think of these? I believe that they are still Swiss, but not sure of the quality compared to better known names.

They aren't any better or worse than TAG, Movado, Hamilton, and a slew of other average brands. Owned a Toccata for a couple years and liked it.

Do not buy new... you will take a bath on them in a big way, I've seen $3500 MSRP pieces struggling to sell at $300 after a couple of years here in Australia.

No, I would not buy new. Only new item I saw was a GMT Naboucco that looked interesting, but not at the asking price. Used ones at auction seem to go at 10-15% of new price. Many are asking more, but do not seem to get it. At that level was wondering if they are worth it. Specifically A two tone 18K gold silver parsiful womens model, Quartz.

Women's watches just don't have good resale value. Good idea to buy them pre-owned.

Does not seem to matter what the brand either. Rolex and the smaller high ends are asking more but again don't seem to get the asking price. I guess that it is a fashion thing. Personally I like the older watches better than the new ones. Some designs are somehat timeless however, seems all have a few basic models that have changed little in many years. These seem to hold value better than the this years new model for women at least. Had to laugh at a couple of pawnshop listings, 5% over scrap gold or silver price for womens watches....
