    Hi all,

My girlfriend wears my Seiko SRP775 (Turtle) on the Seiko silicone strap, which has the Seiko steel buckle with "ST.STEEL-Z" etched on the back. She has started getting a rash from the buckle.

I'm wondering if anyone has some solutions to suggest? If so, greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks,
    Con

My guess she is intolerant to the nickel content of the steel. I don't think there is much that can be done.
Maybe spray paint a clear coat?

    Exchange your girlfriend. Faulty manufacturing.

Try keeping it very clean, but be sure to rinse off anything used to clean it. If it was a bracelet, I'd say rubbing alcohol in an ultrasonic bath, but that will not be good on the silicone. Just a little dishsoap should be ok.

If the irritation is minor then coating it in clear nail polish can work.
