I like the way chrome came off on both of them. Your radium survived bit better. Is that same size case ??

Yes same size at about 37mm not including the crown.
I thought the dial/hands was white paint only and not radium?
Thanks Michael

37.5. Hand were chromed and You probably right about the paint. I tried to get extract from the archives but Omega couldnt provide it :/ Did You try Yours ? My one is the 86 serial number as above

I can ask Omega about the number and archives, I have seen only 4 of these same watches in the past with black secotor dials.
My movement is 88899xx
I have always believed these were mainly sold in eastern Europe, I could be wrong but most of these big 37mm 26.5s I have had in the past seem to come from there.
Thanks Michael

My observation as well for the earliest 30mm movements (first run 600) in the jumbo cases (based on the few examples that have surfaced). That part of the world is also fertile ground to find nice scarab cased omega manual winds.

Both of mine 30mm from the first run are from that side of Europe as well as the other 26.5 in jumbo cases I own. Strange that this particular reference is not covered in OJTT

Mine says "I need a buddy!" 馃憤

Great watches! I noticed the hands on yours and also @TimeBandit s example have exactly the same sort of lume effect. At first glance I thought they looked overdone and somewhat like a re-lume job. I assume now that I was incorrect and this is the original finish?

Hands were chromed and as Michael mention rest was just painted. No lume on this. Aged cracked the paint which was overdone/not best quality in a first place at the factory.

Another variation of same watch with slightly different subdial. Hands restored most likely. Case never touched. It has some military provenance also. Enjoy 馃榾
