·Up for sale from my private collection and seldom seen...
A Omega Railroad Constellation 14393-1 C.B In Rose Gold Cap
A truly uncommon watch to find, with solid rose gold markers and hands. And a stunning contrasting golden dial which really sets off the richness of the case. Amazing aged lume in hands.
17 mil serial number dates the watch to 1960. It houses an extremly clean Cal 561 rotor with a bright copper colour, with strong amplitude. Service history is unknown.
The watch features a signed Original Omega crown (small wear), crystal (has a small crack @4, see pictures.) I have tried to restore this watch and keep as much of it original as possible. I do not alter the originality of any of my watches unless it truly hinders the overall vintage conditon.
CB signed case is nice and sharp, uncommon for gold cap to retain its lug facets, but this one does, and bezel could slice tomatoes.
The caseback has one mark from when someone has tried to open it, but can be polished out. The medallion is crisply showing all eight stars!
Overall, this is a nice unmolestered example of an uncommon watch, not to be found easily. This combination of ageing is very popular to collectors, it retains all the charm and character one would expect and of course it is in my favourite metal, rose gold.
I am including in this sale: Omega Railroad Constellation, Genuine Omega Service Case, Honey Ostrich strap, Omega rose gold signed buckle.
I am asking £950 for the watch shipped in the UK.
