Ranchero - the Real Deal or ?

Hi All
I am extremely interested in buying a Ranchero from an Italian Dealer but am only too aware of the countless pitfalls involved in such a purchase - please find attached pics of dial/movement/crown etc. - please can the experts have a look and advise?
All looks good to me but would be a big purchase (+-USD7000) - what do the esteemed members think?

price is shocking 😲
Watch ......errr timepiece looks correct. 16,3xx,xxx movement puts it at 1958.
Let me know if you buy it, that way I can raise the price of mine 😗

Maybe I am missing something but the crown looks very similar to the one in the article you linked?
Apart from saying that the price is shockingly high - can anybody please give an objective response linked to recent sales as to what would constitute a reasonable price? Many thanks!

Not much. I think crown + new stem could be found at $100 -$150.

I would avoid this guy. I spoke to him at length and he is trying to market it as a USAF watch, due to the "triangle" on the inner caseback below the "2990-1" engraving. He claims that all triangle means military USAF engraving, without knowing that ALL 2990-1 has this triangle! AVOID!
