I believe I am in the minority when I say I never was a fan of the globemaster and rail master line...The train sound in the intro kind of gave it away in a cool way...Not sure what rolexes ad meant though ?

May I suggest you start a new thread in the Rolex section?

I will say Omega does a great job with these teasers every year! I can't wait to see this in the flesh!

I'd be seriously tempted if either Railmaster or Seamaster AT comes out with 12mm thickness and either 38.5mm or even a midsize 36.25mm - 37mm...

If it's 39mm and not too thick, I'm going to have some serious cash flow problems this summer.

Speedy Tuesday, Speedy 60th LEs, Railmaster, new modern Omega Speedmaster racing...I have to say...fingers crossed...this is shaping up to be one of Omega's best Basel appearances. RA really seems to be in tune with his client base. I know the Rio OB manager is a big fan of RA...often mentioning that he was always hands-on and in tune with what was being achieved in each OB....sending motivational e-mails to staff etc.

Ref. the new Railmaster...the problem for me is going to be justifying buying it having purchased the new Explorer 214570 and also the Seamaster 300MC...too many 3, 6, 9 no date black dial watches? Well if it is gorgeous and thin...I may transcend the rational and be swept away by the emotional...and I do have a strong emotional link with trains / model railways😀

Yep much thicker than the 2500 leading to fat watches. Unnecessarily fat it seems since the latest watches are much more than 1.5mm thicker than the 2500 generation.
So the 2852 vintage Constellation is an unnecessarily fat brick? The Cal 501 in that is bigger than the 8500.

I've just tried explaining the Railmaster to my girlfriend. What is was/is, probable new release, showed her the video, explained why I'm so excited etc.

I've never seen someone give less of a shit.

'Urgh, tacky' was the reaction I got from mine when I showed her a pic of the Speedy Tuesday. So still not yet told her I'm going to buy it!

Ah come on. Nothing says you have to love every single product Omega put out to deserve a hearing on here. I can't say I particularly like the Globe Master

The 470/500 series was their one of their first if not the first rotor movements and relatively short lived, the more highly developed 550 family are thinner at 5mm. And yet the earlier watches aren't bricks are they? Rather suggesting it is a deliberate recent design decision to make boat anchors. How come the 11mm watches are now all 15-16mm thick?

The 1120 was 3.6mm high by the way. I still say the 8500s are fat if they need 4mm more headroom.

This Railmaster looks like 8806 Master Coaxial no-date. Similar dial to the 300 MC and obviously no diving bezel. The caseback is not "real" in the animation since the Hippocampus would be flipped - so probably sapphire similar to the 300 MC.

Really interested to see the final piece. Wish I was able to get the #SpeedyTuesday. so far that's the only thing that calls out to me.

From the responses, it appears that no one is disappointed that it's not a manual wind?

Yep...certainly looks like the automatic 8806...see freeze frame below. I think everything in the animation has been mirrored.

Omega will probably be able to reduce the case thickness with the lower WR at 150m and hopefully not using the display case back. If they had done a new version of the manual wound Tresor movement for the Railmaster...that would have been worthwhile displaying👍

Yes @M'Bob...I am disappointed that it is not manual wind.

My OB source says the new rail master will be the aqua terra case with the sm300 hands and dial

Exactly what I was thinking. This to me is sort of a window dressing change, with so many models at least semi-close to not make it different enough for me to purchase.
