Quick release straps advice please.

Hi folks
Have just bought a 'hummer' which I'm very pleased with, but would like to change the strap.
It's currently on a brown leather quick release 19mm one, as pictured.
The advice I'm seeking is as to if quick release straps are a good option and, although it's a subjective thing, opinions on suitable colours for a white-dialled steel watch?
Like the idea of the quick release as I don't trust either myself or due to previous experience, my local jeweller, to change the strap without marking the case. Have been hunting around online but there seem to be limited ones of this type.
Ever grateful for any advice.
Cheers
Doug

Several companies are doing quick release spring bars, for instance Hirsch and Two Stitch Straps.

Nice watch.
I put my hummer on a QR strap. I find that there is less risk of my marking the case with a QR.
That said, all hummers are in the region of 50 years old and, in my view, a very fine scrape here or there is neither here nor there 😀

Here’s my cal 1250 on one

That's helpful, thanks. Found this one from strapcode....would look great linking with the red stitching, but have nothing like it in the UK.

The main concern about quick release straps is if the little knob becomes inaccessible. Not common but possible according to some previous threads. I have a few and haven’t had any problems.

In that case can you not change it with the usual tool?

Try Artisan Straps out of Australia. All of their ready made straps come with quick release spring bars. Nice selection of very high quality straps too.

Apparently not. I don’t think they usually have shoulders.

You have two options.
1. As in an ordinary strap on normal spring bars, with a normal Bergeron type tool, or
2. Stick your thumb nail into the part of the strap where you’d the 'little knob' to be, and firkle around and push it down.
Neither it, nor I, are rocket scientists 🙁

CNS straps from Sweden. Fast shipping. Cheap but decent
The Heritage collection is nice for vintage.

The Lange chrono on the home page was the first hint 😁.

They are nice though, may have to test one out.

Thanks guys....some great advice.
Have just ordered one from CNS Straps, as recommended by SOG53.
They look decent and ideal for someone with long pockets and short arms.....will report back.

Received the CNS strap, which looks to be of decent quality and the red blends well with the logo/sweep.
Only problem is that the ends press hard against the side of the case stopping them from aligning with the wrist. Hoping the leather will soften in with time....perhaps go for curved ends next time.

The clearance between springbar and watch case is different t for various watches. It’s pretty much trial and error. But if it’s pretty small then better off getting slightly thinner leather strap the bigger ones actually double in size as they’re folded around springbar. It will soften up anyway. Looks good!

A couple of weeks on the wrist and the strap is looking fine, so thinking good value for the money, and has as suggested softened up and now lying flat. Thanks again guys.
