Thank you for posting this! Much appreciated. Unrelated, but in your opinion is AJTT a good reference book for vintage Omega collecting? I was pondering about buying this book, and the “10 UG watches”, as I’ve a couple of UGs.

Now that’s a fair, argumented observation. The numerals do strike me as a bit heavier than other examples published by other Omega forum members.
I have to look at more examples from the same period to make my mind up.
If this were a redial, it would have to be a bloody good one.

·If it's not lume, it just looks off to me. I've never seen Omega script get that lumpy, and stay perfectly white. For them to have gotten the mixture just right, to have white pigment survive this long, is not impossible, but you can see on the other example how little sections have yellowed a bit. And the OMEGA text somehow seems too thin and sterile, like a lot of modern ones.
However, again, I'm not an expert, and I can imagine some scenario where it degrades inside a vault or forgotten drawer, never sees any UV, and maybe that could explain it. But since I've never seen it happen that way, I'd think redial. I might be wrong too!
I think it's such a nice redial, if it's a redial, that I'd really enjoy it as is. When it's this hard to find a reason to call it a redial, it should just be enjoyed.

·Most definitely a redial, not a good one either, case over-polished and wrong crown. Also, noticed you have it listed for sale for $2,300:

Wrong crown yes. The over polish I have to look at it again, it did not strike me as so.
Your comment about the redial, I don’t know what to say… I will cease repeating myself.

This I will admit I am no expert, I thought it might be aftermarket, but if you say it’s fake? The etchings were unusual to me, so you must be right.
Listen for the rest, yes crown is a replacement, other than that whether its a redial or not (which I still don’t believe it is), the rest of the watch seems correct to me.
I understand your point about the red flag, I am happy to be educated on that.

I do not appreciate the tone being used, or the comment about the ethics, but that is a whole other conversation.
