I have both the US & Forstner 1450 bracelets and even though there are countless of threads on the Omega 1450 bracelet, couldn't find answers to the questions below:

  • it appears both the end links and the middle links of the OEM 1450 bracelet are all solid and not hollow. If otherwise, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
  • it appears the OEM 1450 clasp is stamped and not milled.
  • does the OEM 1450 bracelet fit the 3861 case. Specifically do the OEM end links fit or will the tabs have to be filed off.
  • If they do not fit the 3861 do the SELs from US or Forstner work with the OEM 1450 bracelet and is the finish a match or slightly off.
  • does the OEM 1450 bracelet weigh more vs the US/Forstner 1450 bracelets.

All of the OEM 1450 links are solid. The OEM clasp is stamped with a friction release. I haven't tried to fit the OEM 1450 end links on the 3861 case, since they don't have the "ridge" that end links designed for the 3861 have. So even if the lug hole position would allow you to use the OEM end links, you would never have a very solid fit on the 3861 case. I have both the Forstner and Uncle Seiko 1450 end links for the 3861, and they both work but I would say the Forstner end links are probably a slightly better fit. I can't tell any difference on the finish between either after market end link or the OEM end link. The weight of all 3 bracelets is very similar. All are light compared to modern Speedmaster bracelets.
