Questions about James Bond Skyfall Watch

I have a few questions about the James Bond Skyfall watch. This would be my everyday watch if I bought one.

1. Did they only make one version (232.30.42.21.01.004)?

2. How hard is it to find one at a reasonable price?

3. Is it worth it?

4. Are you happy with yours and do you wear it all the time or only have it for investment?

I have a few questions...

Do I have to answer all four, or can I pick and choose?

LOL, sorry, seriously: as for #3, I guess it depends: do you want to wear and enjoy it, or are you just looking at it as an investment?

The reason I asked about investment was that I want to wear it everyday and I don't care about the investment but I was trying to find out if it is worth buying as an everyday watch and if you could find it at a decent price.

For an every day watch I would say a first generation PO would be a good choice.

The only Planet Ocean that really gets the dreaded “i-word” attached to it is probably the LMLE. If I were going for an everyday wear watch, something not carrying any extra branding from the film would get my vote.

The model reference number you gave is of the limited edition cheesy 007 branding on the watch. Not one I'd choose for an everyday watch and that's coming from me, a Bond fan. Coz for me, I'd rather wear the watch that Bond wears in films instead of the 007 branded limited edition. But that's probably just me.

These are the Skyfall watches he wears in the film... Now either one of these is perfect for everyday wear.

Planet Ocean 232.30.42.21.01.001

Aqua Terra 231.10.39.21.03.001

I would tend to agree. Get the watch that was worn in the film. 2201.80. and 2220.80 are both good value as well

Sadly I could never deal with the PO size and particularly the thickness. Looks great (on other people) but it's just monstrous in size compared to the 300m or Aqua Terra.

Well to be fair the first generation PO, the 2201.50 isn't as monstrous or thick as the 8500 PO.

I've never tried on a 8500 as the 2500 was even too big for my taste

Out of interest, what site is this information from?

Might be a few weeks late to the game on this, but recently purchased the 38.5 watch featured on Bond's wrist in Skyfall (not the 007 promotional version) and couldn't be happier (see my avatar for mine). To your questions:
1. They made multiple versions of the AT Skyfall - a 38.5 and a 41.5mm. I have the 38.5 and a 6.5" wrist. Works great and I've read more people wishing they had gone with the 38.5 rather than the 41.5 version.
2. Have the define 'reasonable'. These watches list at $4-$5k if you can find a new one online or from $3k-$4k from a private seller. @Kringkily provided mine and I'll be singing his praises for a while.
3. Yes and yes.
4. All the freaking time. My other watches are giving me the evil eye.

Hope that helps!

I agree that the Skyfall AT is the best James Bond AT. In fact, it’s the best AT bar none.

For the PO, am torn between the Casino Royale and the Skyfall. And as far as POs go, the orange bezel as well as blue dial models look good as well.

For the SM300, i think the Spectre is the best.

For the SMP Divers, Goldeneye it is. Some might like the automatic version, great as well. Though the new No Time to Die variant is putting up a good fight.
