Correct. Note to @Gradymaci ,at the very least it is considered rude to totally delete the content in the initial post.

Some forums remove your ability to edit posts after 30 minutes. We do not, as we trust our members (for the most part) to do the right thing.

The majority of the members are more familiar with vintage Omegas than the modern ones. I'm sorry that no one knew the answer to your question within a reasonable amount of time, but it does not excuse the vandalism of removing the thread.

Now no one will know the answer. You may have deprived another member who had the same question from finding out.

The Seamaster 'experts' on OF are generally experts in 1950s - 1970s. The Seamasters that really count 😁 In my few years here on OF I haven't seen many threads of people comparing subtleties between very new versions of the same model.

I guess the common ground I thought we shared wasn't very common.

I'm a little sad that I read/viewed this thread. In my defense, I had to read more than half to have some idea what was at issue. Now it's done, and I'm still not sure.

"Grace" might be a better word than "class."

Efauser, you're absolutely right. Over my first cup of morning coffee (after winding my Speedmaster), I likely did miss the sarcasm. Thanks.

Glad you had that cup, I was referencing the previous posts about people missing class from the OP.

All good
👍

Now that's fabulous. Had always imagined myself strolling insouciantly along The Strand with a spring-loaded blade in my Malacca walking-stick, but you can't tell the time with a spring-loaded blade.
We have another contributor here to the J. Peterman style of writing- now if you can work in the sales pitch for the Malacca walking stick and throw in a reference to your watch- it could meet the Hodinkee/Peterman style guide.

Gonna need more urban Sombrero references or he won't make it a day in this world.

Are both bezels ceramic? Or one aluminum (2014) and the new ones ceramic?

No idea, to be honest. The closest I have is a circa 2015 Planet Ocean.

This thread in the J.Peterman/ Hodinkee style:

It was a brisk, foggy London morning- wrestless from waiting in my Trafalger flat for the call, I knew I had to stretch my legs.
My hip still not healed from wrestling the great rhino to the ground in Napal, I grabbed my trusty Malacca cane, strapped on my new 2019 Omega Planet Ocean, and donned my Urban Sombrero as I headed out towards The Strand.
It was eerily quiet, on a day like this I expected far more foot traffic but I felt as though I was a lone traveler walking in the footsteps of ghosts. I heard a splash in the water and as I turned to my right to follow the sound, a street ruffian ran past me and brushed against me left arm. As he ran from me, I looked down to notice that he has switched my new Planet Ocean for a 2014 model- only knowing the difference because of the incredible information I had gleaned from the Omega Forum. I unsheathed the spring loaded blade from my Malacca cane and gave chase. But hobbled by my ailing hip I watched as he started to recede into the distance. I thought my prized new Omega was lost, but to my surprise I saw a bowman wearing a Texas A&M T-shirt upon the bridge ahead, taking aim at the fleeing scoundrel. With a single arrow to the leg, the thief was grounded and I watched the mysterious bowman back away from the railing and fade into the fog.
I made it back to the flat in time for the call- she was running late- but had not forgotten our rendezvous. Checking the time on my scandalized 2019 Planet Ocean, I saw I had 30 minutes to meet for our trist- perhaps I’ll take the path back across the bridge and find that archer- I have a 2014 Planet Ocean with which to thank him- the arrow hands an appropriate hallmark for a man of his skill.

This thread in the J.Peterman/ Hodinkee style:

...a laundry list of insanity.

Read that all in Peterman's voice.

Well done.

That should be close enough. 😀

What bezel does yours have?
