I think the original question had to do with asking for the difference between the 2014 planet ocean and the current offering. Not sure if he was just asking if it’s the bezel or something else.

I think OP just bought or is about to buy the 2014 PO.

I saw the post. But sadly i didnt know the answer.

To OP this is a worldwide forum. You will get a myriad answers. Some helpful. Some funny. Some funny and helpful. Some really useless. If not outright rude. Good thing we have ability to scroll up and down so you can focus on what you want to read.

This is a great forum. And not just for omega watches. Give it another shot.

Class, apparently....
Huh?
I see a thread entitled “Pass” with absolutely no content whatsoever. Then some guys get into a heated discussion about a bunch of other stuff. I have no idea what’s going on and mention I must be missing something. I’m then told I’m missing “class”.
Hmmm... I definitely do not understand what this thread all about, so I’ll just drop out now and leave this one alone.

If you can tell us a little more about this:

maybe we'll be able to recover some of that missing "class".

I admittedly call my 6-year-old son "Little Buddy". Probably because my midsection resemble the Skipper's these days...

Just to enlighten some, Not all..I started my first post in the introduction section, 10 minutes later added a Aviator, Next responded to a 30 mm planet ocean about how nice it was, then responded to another post, people liked the response.
I posted a question about the bezel materials,60 views over 3 days Not 1 day..I posted about the difference in the years difference on a planet ocean 2014 vs Current..I did look at Google like 1 guy said, but why when there is all this knowledge and camaraderie would I base the limitations on Google.
I then changed the add title to "Any Sea Master experts" there's your tongue and cheek for some that blast me for not being funny enough..That's the story..But I changed the title to Pass and I got, count them 10-15 response in a 2 hour frame, when( I got zero before) some within minutes..The originalp never dropped more than 10-15 spots..Then I saw when a fella asked a simple question about is fake or to good to be true, a $500 bond watch and folks preached him into hell with sarcasm..
I appreciate the few that say stick it out, but it's a watch forum not the plan of salvation, and yes I'm tuff skinned.
Since I have nothing to add to this forum I'm bailing out.. Thanks and take care..

I did not know the answer so I did not reply. Like @pongster said it was something about a bezel of a modern seamaster. But my limited knowledge of watches stops at 1969... sorry.. Anyway, since it's a modern watch I would pass on that one.

Efauser, you're absolutely right. Over my first cup of morning coffee (after winding my Speedmaster), I likely did miss the sarcasm. Thanks.

Gonna have to disagree with this statement, if by "tuff", you mean tough.
Sometimes, the answers don't come as quickly as we'd like, or at all, if the person with the answer never sees the post.

You appear to be taking it personally that others had their questions answered when yours didn't get answered...

First, no one here is entitled to an answer. No one here is answering people's questions for a living...we all answer as we see fit and have time to.

Second, if someone doesn't know the answer to whatever your question was, no one is going to answer it. It's not a conspiracy against you, just that someone didn't know the answer.

I know we live in a world now where we expect to ask a question somewhere and get an answer to it almost immediately, but just remember there are real people behind those answers giving out whatever hard earned knowledge they have for nothing in return.

BTW it's Avatar, not Aviator...

Sir, we have just found common ground. Just an FYI: Archer is very knowledgeable but he is wearing an A&M shirt in his aviator, so take his admonishment with a grain of salt.😁

Didn’t answer because I don’t know about modern Seamaster or POs. I apologise for being one of the 60 views as I did view not long after you posted.

I shot two tournaments in Texas back in the day...one was at A&M, and one at Texas. A&M had an archery shirt I could buy at their shop, and Texas didn't. If that continues to bother you, then you can be certain I'll continue to use that photo as my avatar. 😀

BTW, Texas isn't really all that big...

Cheers, Al

And since this thread now needs pictures, has anyone seen these before? Pretty cool! I’m not pursing the auction, but following out of interest

Now that's fabulous. Had always imagined myself strolling insouciantly along The Strand with a spring-loaded blade in my Malacca walking-stick, but you can't tell the time with a spring-loaded blade.
