Question about new arrival

This just arrived - a 168.0058 and my 4th Connie. Better looking than I thought - it's not in perfect condition but very hard to see the imperfections in the flesh. What I do notice, however, are two circular shaped marks on the left side of the case. They don't appear to correspond to anything to do with the design or mechanics, and they're not equally positioned - one is more central than the other - so I'm not sure what they are. Clamp marks, from an over-tightened watchmaker's clamp? Seems unlikely but it's all I can come up with.
