Pulsemeter bezels on new models

Hi there,
Apologies if this is a commonly asked question or of it's on the wrong spot; new to the forums etc. etc. I ran a rudimentary search but couldn't find much.

I'm a doctor aiming in the next year or so to celebrate final exams with a Speedmaster professional 42mm. I was hoping to have it fitted with a pulsemeter bezel instead of the tachymeter. Can they be fitted in the factory when buying the Speedmaster new from a boutique? Or are they discontinued and need adding after-market? Also, are pulsemeters available in that diameter?

Cheers all.

I'm not sure if you can get them fitted from the factory, but I bought a service pulsations bezel and fitted it to a modern speedy. I think it's a nice change, and a little more useful to those in the medical field! Good luck on exams!

Outstanding. Thanks very much! Exams are likely FUBAR thanks to COVID but the speedy dream will live on.

where can you pick up these service pulsations bezels?
eBay... anyone with an omega parts account.

The 15 seconds bezel seems less common than the 30 seconds, but I'd prefer 15 seconds as you get the job done in half the time.

The 30 COUNT is more accurate.

But think how you use it. Start the chrono while taking a pulse and stop it at the x count? It’s not exactly useable.

So cool - I've always loved the Pulsometer and distance-measuring bezels on a chronograph.

Eh, nobody is actually using a tachymeter either 😜

I agree. It's all a novelty. I have used it with patients before, but never when it really matters. For me, it's just a small touch that makes my speedy a little different than others.

I do alot of the time. Its very usefull for doing repetitions per hour calculations, which oddly was the original purpose of the scale. It was used on Foreman’s stop watches to time factory/worker output.
