I'd like to know if this already happens: If we were to buy a watch from a private seller in this forum is there any service of the forum in which an admin would act as middle-man?

I don't want to talk on behalf of the admins, but I think the answer is no. Chrono24 acts as middlemen, if you want a middleman ask the seller to list it on C24 and pay the fees for the service 馃槈

I can fix this by holding both watches and money. ::stirthepot::

My question would be why do you think you need a middle man ? If you are not sure about the deal don't do it.

So basically the entire point of buying and selling on OF is the absence of a middleman...

I would add that the seller here is solely responsible if there are any issues with the item. If it turns out the seller was the agent, friend, son, mother or soccer coach of the item's actual owner, the selling member is still responsible and will be held accountable by Trev 馃, AKA "The Architect "

Word to the wise, don't let it get that far
