I don’t understand the people on OF who are convinced that every watch should be sold within hours, regardless of price-point, what kind of watch it is, how broad the appeal, etc.
I get it, for the Ebay hunters that manage to snag decent vintage watches for bottom dollar and the sel them for a few hundred $/€ with no work or service into them. For that type of “flip”, and at that price point, if it sits for many months, it’s probably priced too high.
However, for higher priced special watches, there’s a good chance it’ll take some time to find the right buyer who’s looking for that particular watch at that time. It’s absurd to think that person should drop the price by 10% per week until someone is enticed into buying it simply because it’s under-priced enough to be a good opportunity.
Because people have differing views on purchases, sales and maximum transaction timeline, it wouldn’t be appropriate for individuals to make price comments in FS ads.
