Yep. One of the two days in the year when I take some quiet time by myself to remember the mates that didn't come back, and those who did come back but aren't the same as they were when they went.

No. They're a symbol of remembrance for the millions of British Commonwealth soldiers who paid the ultimate price in World War One.

Don't those brothers look uncannily alike.![]()
What's Harry's watch?
What ever he wants next week 😉
( when his not bound by rules showing wealthy personal goods to British taxpayers )
I wouldn't sweat it. If you think your foot leaves a bad taste, imagine being a fallen WWI soldier and watching the po-faced descendants of King George V of Great Britain "commemorate" your "sacrifice" in a squabble over markets and power their great-great-grandfather had with his first cousins (Tsar Nicholas II of Russia on the one hand, and Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany on the other)
Regardless of who, how or why, millions of people died over those two wars from many nations, the Poppy is now more a show respect to all those people, not just UK based and is often referred to military personnel in recent conflicts like Afganistan.
Same suits, same mum. Different facial hair. What's Harry's watch?

When I lived in Birmingham some of the old-school jewelers would always refer to this as the 'Prince William' model and just glare at you if you referred to it as the Bond. I actually got mine whilst living there and still absolutely love it, relatively basic though it may be.
And yes, never, EVER insult the poppy to an Englishman...it will end poorly.
Whatever he's got on his right wrist, assuming it's not a bracelet, looks paper-thin. When I think of paper-thin, I think PP Calatrava. Any other guesses?
it also seems to be a boy’s size, or at least a smaller size—which would make sense considering he was still a child when she died.
Or he’s got very large wrists.
