Presentation of a second vintage Omega aka noob one

Hi guys this my second vintage Omega. The first one is family heritage, as posted, and this one is my first buy. I got a bit of unvaluable help from some members to evaluate the watch and price but it was mainly a blind buy as the seller's pictures and information was either bad or scarce. No clue about movement neither previous to purchase.
This is my noob purchase so I guess there a lot to learn, movement may be doesnt match the case, etc. Anything is possible...
It is in very decent external shape. Endlinks and bracelet don't correspond apparently to the piece but it's from same period I believe. That's OK for me I love it aesthetically, it's comfy and more firm than other vintage bracelets I've seen that look flimsier to me.
Took it to watchmaker to open and evaluate and has a 565 caliber, says it keeps decent timing values but definitely needs service. It's left there for that purpose. Compression ring is golden should be steel. That's so far what I know, I'm sure some of you will have things to point out and it will be fun to understand more about the watch and how high my noob tax has been. Just to clarify, I love it and plan to wear it a lot. Below some pictures (yes, next step is to learn to take decent shots) Cheers

I think you did fine. Looks like a nice watch. After service you will golden. Bracelet actually fits pretty well, so I wouldn’t sweat it unless you must have the original.

I bet you’d find quite a few people here who’d happily trade their “noob tax experience” for yours. Looks nice!

That's exactly what I fear, you may be right... although if he first one seems to have been decent, let me enjoy a very brief moment of glory😀

I think you got the perfect entry into the vintage Omega club. You paid a good price the way things have been going these days. Well worth the expense of having it serviced.

Good job (nice watch, fair price) and good catch on that bracelet.

Maybe try to get the bands endlinks to fit flush with the back of the watch ...... it will be much more comfy on your wrist if you do !

Seems interesting tip but I think I'll leave it like that. Its extremely comfortable like it is. I dont even know what the original endlinks for this watch should be..

That's a useful picture, thanks! Will save it in my archive. Still wonder if there's something anyone of you guys won't be able to know or research. It's amazing
