Hello, looking to purchase this watch for my upcoming wedding. Any thoughts on its originality/condition? The lugs don't look especially sharp but I'm not sure if that sort of thing bothers me too much. Also including a timegraph the seller is providing with no clue what I'm looking at.
Yeah, it needs a service. Beat error is quite high. But I really like the style. Dial could be solid gold. Well worth getting it fixed up. gatorcpa
Here is another example of this reference that was sold by a well-known retailer: https://shop.hodinkee.com/products/...rial-133-mvmt-13202823?variant=39303743209547 gatorcpa
I've definitely been referencing that hodinkee post! The lugs on that one are crazy sharp. The seller provided me another timegraph, apparently, the first one was just to show BPH and he hadn't intended it for beat error, and assures it doesn't need a service as per his watchmaker who took a look inside. The guys got a great transaction history (230+ positive transactions) so I jumped in. Looking forward to it arriving!
It’s a striking watch, perfect to mark a special occasion . Congrats on the watch and the upcoming nuptials!
I believe that this movement has a lift angle of 48 degrees, so the amplitude will not be correct. Nothing to worry about necessarily, but given the inconsistencies with the timegrapher traces and the incorrect lift angle, I would just take those readings with a grain of salt and have the watch checked out by your own watchmaker.
Does anyone know for sure what size strap these vintage conquests take? From the ad it looks like there's a 19mm on there but it seems a little squished and I'd assume a watch from this era would be an 18mm?
Now in your wedding day, make sure you get a really good shot of you thrusting your arm in front of your wife’s face so the photographer can get a really nice shot of it. I’m sure you’re wife will find it just as funny.
Haha, already thinking how I can sneak it in there. Have this olive strap on the way - should look pretty nice!
