·Hello everyone
This is my first sales post, so I’ll try and make it a good one. I bought this sweet supercompressor here about a year ago. In that time it hasn’t had as much wrist time as I would like, and I’m now refocusing my collection a bit. It’s for that reason I wish to move it on.
This is a Precimax Aquamax Safety, from around 1970 and with a chunky case to match! Case is approx 40mm diameter and I believe it has a ETA 2783 25-jewel automatic movement inside. The watch has a quickset date function when the crown at 4 is pulled out to the first position. Pulling out further allows the time to be set as normal. The crown at 2 rotates the inner dive bezel and everything works as it should. The watch keeps good time and has not been serviced in my possession. Last service by the previous owner was given as October 2016 so it may be time to get it checked over if you intend to wear the watch regularly.
The case has a brushed finish and wear commensurate with the watch's age. However, in the hand, this is an attractive case and the dial is in excellent condition.
A shot of the movement:
The watch comes with a black rubber strap (came with the watch and immediately removed by me to make way for a mesh bracelet) and I also have an unworn Geckota sailcloth strap that I would be prepared to sell in addition if desired:
The lug width is 22mm.
I am asking £495 for this vintage dive beauty. Slips surprisingly easily under shirt cuffs (and has been worn a couple of times at work with a suit), but also a lovely casual piece with the classic features of a vintage supercompressor that you'd expect.
The watch and I are in the UK and for obvious reasons a UK sale is preferable, but I’m willing to discuss other options. Please feel free to PM me any questions about the watch.
Finally, a wrist shot (my wrist is an average 7.25 inches, or 185mm):
As I said, this is my first sales post, but I have a number of references here as a buyer:
