Potential trade - Sinn 156 for Mark II

I'm trying to sell a Sinn 156 but also said I'd be open to trades. A145.014 Mark II has been offered in trade. Below are pictures from a for sales post from late last year.

Looks original and unmolested. Ref. 1159 bracelet, dial is marked with the 'T's at the bottom. Think it might be from late 60s or early 70s. Now, I don't need another Speedmaster as I already have a 145.022-69 and a 3894.50 but what do you guys think?

Hmm, tough call. You have a 156B?
It may be easier to flip the MkII if money is your goal.

If this is a strait trade, then hell yes! Love the Holzer

Yes, a straight trade is what's being discussed now.

Photos of the bracelet:

Yes, the Holzer. Was thinking I might buy the US for my 145.022 but now I may be able to evaluate an original. Only thing, it's sized for ac7" wrist and I'd need another inch of links at least.

Non- Military marked tritium dial, standard scew down back. I go crazy trying to determine what it is then Sinn tells me it's made in 2017 based on the case back serial number which is nonsensical.

If everything functions as it should, jump on it before they reconsider.

They say it does but no known service history. It's an old watch so servicing should be expected. Never traded before so not sure how it's supposed to work.

If it is in the country, you ship to one another, with no extra costs. If it is traded across borders, depending on the country's rules, you may get hit with taxes and duties for the declared value of the watch.

We're about six hours driving distance away from each other. Really trying for a face-to-face.

If we end up shipping, do we cross ship or do I wait for their "payment" to arrive and "clear" before shipping mine?

I have cross shipped when I have done trades but it was with a reputable, long-term OF member. It went without a hitch. I would not consider a trade that way with someone who is unknown.

face to face, meet very public area, bring a friend. Roadside turn out is not where you want to go.

but I think you know that already.

Good luck!

No trade. Not sure what changed all of a sudden. In the sales post in another forum I plainly stated I hadn't sold anything but also provided links to some buying I had done on that same forum. Decided I wanted to get that info out there right away, you know? Don't contact me if that's a problem. On the other hand, if you're willing to work with me, let's talk.

Talked all morning, agreed to deal, traded addresses, they told me to ship it. I wanted details on how shipping worked for a trade, essentially the order of shipping. It made sense to cross ship but maybe the initiator ships first? Or the junior? I don't know. Also we were so close (six hours so ~3 hour drive which is not insignificant, I understand) physically, why not just meet up? Of course, there's risk there.

Then the uneasiness with my lack of experience came forward. I don't necessarily blame them as I have no sales experience but why all of the apparent pretense? I get sometimes we get excited and look over or miss stuff, too. It's okay. I really want to sell it anyway but a Speedmaster is always cool.

Don't have much details except what I posted here. Not beat up, seems original, no service history (doesn't mean never serviced), Holzer bracelet sized at 7". Seems like a decent dude so if you see it for sale, you should be confident that the deal, if executed, will satisfy both parties.

Thanks again for the help.

Maybe. My sales terms are high risk for a buyer so I don't expect a lot of bites. It's okay. I don't sell anything ever. I just keep collecting stuff. Watches, knives, guns, cars, car parts. Too much stuff.

I think I'll just buy a watch to make me feel better. Yeah that'll help. The NTH Upholder has intrigued me. Something about the dial.
