What do you mean by "incorrect chrono sweep" ?

I like when all the pieces are like the original (if they are not the original ones). Do you think it's possible to find for both watches the rights pieces?

getting the correct sub seconds hand on your early SS Compur will be very difficult, perhaps not impossible if you are very very patient?

on the gold Compax, you can see the chrono sweep hand does not have a tail (like the one on your SS Compur), I believe it should. This might be slightly easier to find, but still not easy. I had a few but sold them, and they were probably not the right size for you anyways. You need to find the correct size for your calibre, and your dial, measuring center hole to tip.

In the meantime, I would not stress about it and just enjoy your watches. The time to examine the details is when you are purchasing and negotiating price, once you own it, enjoy it. I have a long list of all kinds of parts I would like to correct or swap out on various of my watches, I just keep an eye out over time in case something turns up.

It shows up in Sala and I have a watch with it but cant be sure if its original equipment or a service part. I would not sweat it either.

I just bought the watches so I have plenty of time 😀
If you have any tip for finding the missing pieces, I'm interested.

Thanks !

really happy to find this place !
by cheap I mean that you can easily find watches between 1500 and 4000€. Comparing to Rolex or JLC for example, it's very cheap.

But if you say I'm wrong, I am ! 😀 I don't know much about watches, just that I like this a lot !
First of all, I would say that 1500€ is not a cheap watch. 😉
Secondly, comparing UG with Rolex or JLC is a bit like comparing apples and oranges. While Rolex and JLC existed during the past decades and could work on their reputation, UG was closed due to the quartz crises. Now, the brand exists again, but that is not the same.
Thirdly, have a look at those oversized SS chronos. Those fetch high numbers in particular the Tri Compax models.
And fourthly, the UG design is much better than the one of Rolex, isn't it? Rolex is often bought just because of the brand name not because of design, movement, history. Everybody knows Rolex. So many non collectors buy Rolex.

I do think the fact that UG is no longer a brand has a significant impact on pricing

Usually not. If a brand reissues a vintage model, the old model increases in price. UG is well loved by collectors and watch enthusiasts, but not very well known outside this world. So the demand for UG is much more limited than for other brands.
