In these strange times of social distancing and staying at home to "flatten the curve," I thought perhaps a thread devoted to spending quality time with one's "family" might be welcomed. So l'd invite my fellow UG collectors to post shots of their Universal Geneve "family." Mine is below (along with a roll of toilet paper, since those seem to be in almost as high demand these days!!).

I realize some of you will need wide angle lenses to capture all of your pieces...but give it a shot!

Pictured here: Four Tri-Compax from the late 1940s (18k yellow, 14k yellow, rose gold, and steel), a 1950s Monodatic, a Polerouter 869113, a rose gold Polerouter De Luxe 10357-3, and a Compax pocket watch from the 1940s.

Let's see your family - and hope all of you are safe and well in the meantime!

Great collection shot, it's hard to get them all together with good lighting !

Thanks , and yes, never easy. Just shot these under a window with light coming in through a thin curtain. Instant “light box”. 😀 Post a shot of your crew!

Great shot. That pocket watch is sublime.
Thanks! Probably not my most “practical” timepiece, but crazy rare and always fun to admire.

Stellar collection! I’d love to pick one or two from that bunch. Usually I’m a wristwatch only guy. In this case the Compax pocket watch would be one of my picks though...

These are the only ones I have at home and not in my safe-deposit bank!

I hope to reunite the family soon!

A sublime collection M and the composition is just terrific. Initially, I got a bit stuck looking at the photograph trying to work out how you’d made the other strap leg ‘disappear’ until I finally read the toilet roll caption beneath it. Brilliant.

I wonder if you wound everything at 10am, set the time, felt pretty organised, messed about for a bit, and then 10:10 came and went, you titted around for a bit more, got angry inside, and then we end up with the perfect shot at almost quarter to 11. Speculating from experience, obviously.

To be honest...pretty darn close! I think I actually set them to about 10:20, then played around for 15-20 min before I could get the angle and lighting right. What else is a WIS supposed to do while in quarantine??? Oh, and my wife told be to be damn sure to return the toilet paper when I was done with my dumb photo shoot.... 🙁:whipped:

Lovely Rose gold Tri-compax and Polerouter Deluxe. 👍 I don't know if sold watches count, but this was my gold capped ref. 20214-1 with Turler double signature.

And a calatrava ref. 21219 who has seen better days 🙄

Looks like a different watch after the guy i sold it to decided to restore it.. 😉

Last family picture, 2 years ago. Like any other family, some have migrated (sold to other UG relatives) and some are quarantined elsewhere (i.e. watchmaker)
