    How disappointing ...

    Vesper and Co
is well known in the collector circles. He is present on other forums like on the dash and WUS. I am surprised that a dealer with an extensive presence and many sales struggles to see that the watch is a redial. Making requests for written confirmation and raising bars which are clearly stalling and diversion tactics is unacceptable. I am sure that he is fully aware of what he has done and he is playing stupid ...

I would make his behaviour public. Name and Shame although drastic, may force a re-think .

I was interested in buying a Polerouter from Vesper before. They advertised it as having a 215 movement. I asked them to send me a movement shot, only to find out it had a bumper movement

New arrival. The "Estrella" stands for La Estrella Del Norte, a jewelry chain founded in the 1870s here in my own country - Philippines. They also used to represent Patek, Omega and VC here in Manila.

Privately the buyer informed me that Vesper will take the watch back and refund. I have not received an update on the outcome.

    Hi,
Here is my latest UG, a 1941 Compax, untouched sharp case, quite a nice original condition I think.

All- I purchased this stainless Tri Compax 15+ years ago. Always assumed it was a redial. What are thoughts of the group on this? Thanks

Ok (ouch- I thought it was decent one at least). Well I was in my early 20s when I bought it, so is what it is. What do folks think about the service dial that seem to be available for these? Worth while? Still gets wrist time.

A service dial is usually very nice, finding original dials in good shape are VERY difficult these days ! Service dials if available are really nice if you have a source for one ! However your watch has applied makers, unless you look under magnification, the dial is presentable to the naked eye. Sometimes IMHO, in the big scheme of things, just wear it and enjoy it, the average person has ZERO concept of the print on your watch dial, so unless you care aboit it, nobody real else does either ! Nice watch !

If you're talking about the service dials that i'm thinking of, they are difficult to source but, even if you have the luck of finding one, remember that they have lumed numerals and the hands on yours are unlumed so it would be also wrong because the hands wouldn't match the dial and you would need to source the right hands too, wich is another gigantic quest...

As @rolokr says use it and enjoy it as you did until now, keep your eyes open and, maybe one day, a dial that match with the hands on yours will come to your way

15 years ago is prehistoric in terms of this brand's price progression. You didn't have the UG forum and you didn't pay too much. Enjoy the watch. Even a parts watch is going to cost more than what you spent.

Thanks all. Likely will leave it alone as suggested. My collection has evolved, but still like this one.

    Hello,

My latest arrival is this "Polerouter" Electric. Case is lovely and dial is clean (though missing some lume). Oddly, this doesn't have "polerouter" on the dial. Other than the example owned by forum member gop76, I've not seen another the same
