Cool... I think inscriptions like that are a desirable feature on a watch. Wonder if player/coach rosters are available. I'd have to think that even though the Sugar Bowl was not the commercial monstrosity it has now become, playing in it was still a watch-worthy big deal in 1946.

Though small, I find that they wear really well. Mine is in regular rotation.

I agree! Maybe we should have a thread featuring pics of caseback inscriptions?!

Any idea what UG bracelet this one will take? It's an early 1957 bumper movement UG polerouter with 19mm lugs.

@Larry S could you post a picture of your crown for the Outdoorsman. Yours seems to be original while mine isn't.

I think yours is a UG crown though. Have a look at the add. Mine is a different case, back and reference.

Not the same watch I guess. The add has one sword hand like rolokr's watch. Ours appear to be a mix of all three on that add. Maybe later models?

Just the one UG for me. A late 50's Polerouter no date. It's a great way to get a Gerald Genta design at a reasonable price. IMG_2376.JPG

I think you are fine. As with all things UG, things are never B&W.
