A couple of weeks ago I got a Universal Geneve that obviously needs some work. I wonder what happened to it. And please help if someone knows of any parts.
I belive the model is called 104.42 something...

I guess some gold parts is missing, and that it's supposed to look something like this with the black dial. It's really hard to find any information about what the proper name for the watch is.

It's taken four years to track down the parts, find the right watchmaker and make her whole again.
Maybe my favorite UG reference of all time. IMG_4520.JPG IMG_4523.JPG

This pic shows the warmth and golden patina of these dials, mine is quite light compared to others I've seen that get almost yellow. What you can't see is the vertical brushing, I need to work on my photography:)

Absolutely stunning. And also your quest shows what people just getting caught up in the excitement of Tri-Compaxes may not completely understand -- a very difficult watch to get parts for if something is seriously wrong.
Enjoy that beauty now that you've made it whole again -- it's gorgeous & well worth the effort!

Wow Lou thats a minty morsel!

Thanks Tom. Yes they can be pesky to find parts for but I've never been so excited to get a watch back from service::psy::

That is why we must wear them gently and select our watchmakers carefully. :whistling:
