I'd be grateful if you could give us more detail about the one with the Royal Navy connection?
I apologize it鈥檚 been a while since I last researched the watch. Infact it is a R.A.F navigator watch serial number is 981058 model 20709. I鈥檓 assuming the other number is maybe a issue number

Good Evening all,

My very first foray into Universal Geneve. I spotted this in a shop window and tried to ignore it, as I didn't really think it was my style. This worked for a while, but there was just something about it. So I admitted defeat and purchased it for what I felt was a very reasonable price, considering it's excellent condition.

B 10234 1, yellow gold Polerouter De Luxe from 1956.

My "new" Universal White Shadow with calibre 2-66. Freshly serviced and repaired (the decentralized cannon pinion was slipping, resulting in the hands not moving).

Does this UG white shadow case (reference 866104) fetch more value than other white shadows (101, 102, 103, 105) due to having similar case to Patek Philippe Ellipse?

Not necessarily on the case shape, but there is a massive premium on the blue ones, as they look like PPs and because the color is harder to preserve thus making them rarer today

Exactly, the blue ones are more pricey. And dials are often damaged. Mine also has small chips of at 1, 3 and 8 o'clock. But not too bad on mine. Another thing is water damage. There is no water resistance whatsoever. There's not even a crown tube. So the case is literally open at the crown.

I must admit that I bought it because I love the PP Ellipse. It should be said though, that PP copied the UG -- not the other way around. Same for the microrotor movement.
