I agree, similar to the Favre-Leuba 'duo wind'.

Here is a couple more vintage Sekondas I have, a 30mm. military style and a 42mm. quartz moonphase.

Hello, I am new here I have a question about the serial number of my Strela since I have 25XXX serial but my Strela has a white dial without telemeter, tachymeter ect. so that means my Strela has an early dial but has a movement from 1964? I don’t think this can be right. Could the movement be switched with a newer one? The guy that sold me the watch said it was all original
(Im sorry if my English is bad)

    Hi,
I haven't looked at mine in a while, but according to your movement number, it would be a 1964 production. Can you post a photo of the dial and movement?
    Cheers,
    Buster

Here is mine from about early 1965. You can find your dial on the chart, yellow box on the left, top right.

Yours would be correct for 1964 - 1965 where it lists Cyrilic Strela in yellow above the curved yellow line.

Ok so that means my Strela is a late Cyrilic Strela from 1964 Right? Thank you very much for helping me I wasn’t sure if it might be a franken watch or not

Yes, yours would be okay for up to 1964-65, not after 1965.

The Sekonda dedicated to a Russian Major from his comrades. I have seen better dials but the whole dial seems nicely aged to me. Regardless, it was the inscription that sold it for me.

The Pobeda was as close as I could find to the first watch in space based on photos of the font and remains of the number 6. It ain't a beauty but it runs and seems period correct.

What can you tell us about these.
I've never seen a Russian watch with the crown at two o'clock position.

Crown at 2 were not very common, but could be found, esp. on BOCTOK (credit for image below: WUS forum, user mroatman)

Bought this one last week (not my own photos) Hopefully it will live again as it has a broken balance wheel, just too lovely a looking watch to scrap!

My collection of Russian wristware is growing quite fast with about 6 different vintage watches purchased so far this year and normally dirt cheap, paid about $25.00 the other week for an Automatic 29 jewel Poljot Deluxe in working order.

the one on the right (with crown at 2 o clock position) is an Admiralskie from 1993 with caliber 2414A. Got it online from a British seller. The wobbly crown was actually by design. Forgot the actual practical purpose. Have not worn it in a while. Had the bund strap custom made here in the Philippines.

the one on the left is an Amphibia Generalskie from 1989 with caliber 2416. I think i got it online from a Ukrainian or Russian seller. I forgot. Head only. The nato strap was a gift from my brother in law.

I got this Raketa end of Jan this year, not a fan of this case styling but it was too cheap to resist, paid just $NZ 5.00 for it it good running order though the day seems a bit misaligned, will get it checked out and serviced one day.
