Back to my 50's and 60's American-cased Longines roots. Can find these women's watches in 14k for amazingly low prices. This needs a new crystal but otherwise only +20 seconds over 36 hours with pristine 4LLV movement and original Speidel with black inserts. Original metal box to boot. First Longines my wife has shown interest in 😀.

I originally missed the significance of this watch thinking it was a new heritage model at first glance. When @Syrte comments, I take notice. Wonderful watch, and keep that plastic on when not wearing 😉

Thanks @Syrte for the nod. I believe you were the one who commented on the women's movements being little jewels or something like that (can't find your original post, so pardon any misquoting). Amazing what you can find for under $100. Melt gold value in 14K equal to the price, and I get a cool little watch to boot. My wife has tiny wrist and is taking a liking to some of these vintage pieces, although having to set and wind the watch is my job.

Congrats on your beautiful watch. It is quite amazing to have such an original piece. Not my price range at all, but we all have our limits and that's okay.

Glad if I have been able to contribute in any way, and that your wife likes her new watch. It's neat that you got the box for it, and also that the dial appears original because many of those 1950s ladies watches have been redialed.

After a long time of waiting, it returned from the Spa and doesn't move away from the wrist:

Now I must find a correct box and a buckle....
The search always continues.
