··Oooo subtitles!I note the original post allowed for modern stuff so indulge me. Longines Spirit 40mm pilots watch. Great tool watch of the kind Omega have sadly moved away from selling. 70 hour reserve, anti-mag development of the 2892 with free sprung balance ie just as good as the in house 8500 or 8600 on paper. These are available for not too much more than £1k if you shop about. Also available in black if silver isn’t your thing, but the silver is done well with some nice textured dial touches.
I guess if Ash hasn’t bought a Longines after over 10 years of asking for ideas he never will!
