Just arrived
Woah! Fantastic dial, great catch. If you find out where it was originally invoiced, I would be curious to know.

Found this one in a lot of "grandpas junk drawer contents".

Threw on an era-correct ( I think?) strap that I had, and think it's a winner.

Scratches on the crystal and a few specks of patina on the dial, but the Hacking 12L inside is clean as a whistle.

Mystery dial

Amazing looking watch! For many years I'm refusing to find out how it works. Just want it to stay mystery 馃う

Lovely! Curious if you have gotten extract info from Longines? Here's my similar example:

Have worn this exclusively for a while now. Super-legible, very comfortable and keeping excellent time. My brother also bought one and finds it a little "small and dainty," so ya never know I guess.

That lovely case reminds me of this that I hesitated to buy a couple of years ago from an antiques dealer in Vienna. He wanted 4,000 euros for it which was too rich for me at the time and in my head, just going off my gut as I couldn't find another like it, was about double what I would have paid. I did email Longines for info and it tallied with what the dealer said. It still resides in my memory though as it was just gorgeous....34mm exc crown.
