Just acquired this little swing lug Longines. 32.5mm 3 part stainless steel case with screw on bezel and back, number inside the case back matches the 12.68Z movement (which I thought quite low for a 12.68Z at 5505952) which dates to circa 1937 I believe. At first glance it feels totally unmolested, the case parts thread together nicely, I can't see any repairs on the swing lugs, the Plexiglas has nice age crazing and the crown has a nice amount of wear. Even the strap has considerable age. It's not running but I expect (hope) it's only a service required. Little bit of fading and patina on the dial but nothing that offends me. I am just about fine wearing a 32.5mm watch but the 12mm strap is a bit more tricky, we will see. It might end up with miss size6's!
Do we know when the 12.68z was introduced?
