Close to a year ago I bought this watch that was in need of spare parts. And now I can finally wear it :)

Reference 9020 2 conquest with caliber 290 inside. I do love longines casebacks!

According to the archives it was invoiced on 27 October 1960 to the company Terasse, at the time the agent for Sweden.

Yes, that's the one, I didn't kept it long, the dial was original when we checked it in person. didn't seems to have lume on it, it was only painted with a varnish on it.

I wanted to put back the correct hands, switch the crystal, but ended up letting it go to a collector who was really interested and who had all the parts.

Then after he died in 2004 it was in my box of momentos when I accidentally wound it this last fall and began researching it amazed that it still worked now just need to find anyone who may be able to help figure out what it’s worth so I can decide to insure it or part with it

Not sure about current value, but one thing I can tell is that either your father or grandfather had the watch redialled at some point in time.

Here is a picture of a Longines Ref. 5332 with what looks to be an original dial:

    upload_2020-4-4_15-41-45.jpeg

There is a short write up on the watch on this post:

    https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/whats-selling-where--from-a-prized-universal-geneve-big-ey

The serial numbers are pretty close on both watches, both from 1944.

    Hope this helps,

Nice to see one of the more complicated, modern Longines pieces; a nice chronograph with a moon phase and calendar function.

Wow what a collection! At least 5 there I would love to own! How about that Admiral Pulsometer too! I nearly bought one of these just this week but missed the end of the auction! D: Such a wonderful!

Well done for finding so many beautiful examples :)

    What dreams are made of!

That's a beauty - after seeing your post I managed to find one on ebay that should be with me in the next couple of days. Photos were pretty crappy but I'm hoping that it might be nearly as nice as yours ;)
