It’s definitely smaller than what I’d usually strap on, but I haven’t bonded with a watch this fast in a while. Barely feels like you’re wearing a watch and such a charming dial. Ref. 4705 invoiced to the US on December 17th, 1942. Gotta wonder who was buying a gold watch in the middle of WW2.
This is really nice and I wonder every day how many different dials they designed in these years. It was really a great time for Longines, the 30s and 40s. For me it is wonderful to have all that here in this forum.
I didn’t know I needed a Longines until l restored this model from circa the late 1920s. The watch sat in a drawer of derelict watches for over 50 years, until another Longines with a much better movement turned up. This is the result. I love it.
