Finally picked up the last watch on my current must-have list, a Bigeye chrono. Love this thing, wears great even though it looks huge. Actually it is huge! Kind of an hommage to my grandfather who left me his 40's Sei Tacche that is still on Al's (Archer Watches) project list. What great value these are, amazing. Cheers
I recently found a nice unpolished, solid 18k gold Longines of the Flagship collection invoiced Nov 1978. Nice to share. My first posting in this esteemed group of collectors
Here’s another to persuade you - it’s not all dress watches and chronos - Longines made awesome vintage dive watches too, this is a 42mm from around 1962...I wasn’t sure but then put one on and was smitten:
Once upon a time I used to own a simple but lovely Longines 7839-4 dresswatch (cal. 284) and I sold it. Regretted it ever since! It wasn't a particularly significant model or anything, but I really liked its unassuming simplicity and the elegance that went with it -- plus the 284 movement is nice too. This was the watch: Imagine my happiness when I found a similar one today in even better condition than the one I had. I am now eagerly awaiting its arrival! Seller's pic: Extremely happy and can't wait. Just wanted to share my enthusiasm. I'll post some photos when it arrives.
